I was introduced to Chinese medicine when I started yoga classes 11 years ago. My interest in Chinese medicine grew and I enrolled in a four year degree course in acupuncture at the University of Technology, Sydney. I now use the knowledge gained from yoga training to teach individual and group yoga clases.
On finishing my degree I left Sydney to accept a position in an acupuncture practice in Canberra. During this period I had the good fortune to be tutored in the finer points of pulse diagnosis by Andrew Smith.
In 1998 I began my own practice in Forrest ACT at the Canberra Medical Ecology Centre. My time there helped shape the view that helping my clients understand their health issues and giving them the authority to heal themselves is an important part of any treatment.
In early 2001, I moved my practice to the Griffith shops which gives me the luxury of access to both a yoga studio and rooms for acupuncture clients.
